Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has partnered with a leading Financial Services firm near Jessup, MD that is searching for a Payroll Associate !

The candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for an organization of approximately 1000 employees.

Title: Payroll Associate
Location: On-Site - Jessup, MD area
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/year
Job Type: Permanent

The candidate will be responsible for:

• The collection of hours via timesheets in the clients T&E system
• Doing data entry and confirming hours in the system through other computer systems
• Ensure that the hours are accurate before submitting it for final processing.
• General maintenance in HRIS system as needed
• Changes to candidate information (address, marital status, withholding, etc.)
• Process commissions for sales associates
• Complete specialized ad hoc reporting
• Keep track of benefit deductions and adjusting for next payroll.
• Update changes in employee information such as tax and banking information as needed.

Candidates should have the following experience:

• 2+ years of experience with processing payroll using a 3rd party payroll platform (ADP, Paycor, Paycom, etc.)
• Strong HR / legal experience in payroll
• Focus in attention to detail
• Ability to work through several systems that are not integrated
• Experience working in payroll processing environment
• Experience with payroll tax preferred but not required
