Job Description
Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Appian Developer to join our team to support the migration of on-premises applications to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing, deploying, and optimizing Appian-based applications, as well as experience working with cloud platforms. Responsibilities may include:
Migration Planning & Execution : Collaborate with the team to develop and implement a detailed plan for migrating on-prem Appian applications to cloud, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.
Appian Application Development : Build, customize, and enhance Appian applications to meet functional and non-functional requirements, leveraging Appian’s low-code platform to streamline development.
Cloud Integration : Integrate Appian applications with AWS services and other third-party cloud solutions, ensuring that all components of the application work effectively in the AWS environment.
Performance Optimization : Monitor and optimize the performance of Appian applications post-migration, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Security & Compliance : Ensure that all Appian applications are secure and compliant with relevant government regulations and industry standards.
Testing & Troubleshooting : Provide expert support in the testing and troubleshooting of migrated Appian applications. Identify and resolve any issues related to the migration, ensuring applications perform optimally in the cloud environment.
Documentation : Create comprehensive documentation for migrated Appian applications, including architecture, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure clarity and maintainability.
Collaboration : Work closely with cloud architects, security, and DevOps team members to ensure a cohesive, well-integrated approach to migrating on-prem applications.
Knowledge Transfer & Training : Support the internal team with training and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure that operations teams are well-equipped to manage and support Appian applications in the cloud environment.
Active Secret Clearance required.
Security+ certification required.
Proven experience with Appian development, including designing, developing, and deploying Appian-based applications.
Strong experience with cloud computing, particularly AWS services such as AWS Lambda, EC2, RDS, and S3.
Hands-on experience with integrating Appian applications into cloud environments, including data migration and application reconfiguration.
Knowledge of security and compliance requirements specific to the AWS environment, particularly in regulated industries (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with experience resolving cloud-based application issues.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
